Space...
Today's our topic is very important topic and will change your perspective to see the Universe. About space most of the people have very much misunderstandings. Even my friend also has that the Space means what we see in sky, out of the Earth's Atmosphere. But is it real...? Don't worry, as I have one dumb friend you may also have. We'll discover about it further.
Where is Space..?
This is the question which can improve meaning of space in your life. Space is not the outer space which is thousands of kilometers high above the Earth's surface. Space means everything where nothing is present. Like there is nothing in between you and your device now (not considering air molecules), it means there is space. Space is everywhere. Even the tiniest thing, an atom has 99.9% free space between electrons and nucleus. We can say that the Space is most abundant thing in the Universe. An amazing fact is that if you remove all the space present between Burj Khalifa it's size will be equal to an Ant having same mass. And the Earth will convert into the size of an Apple having same mass.
Let's understand the meaning of space more clearly.
Wherever you are... Imagine that somehow everything around you starts disappearing... Just everything... Everything including smallest atom to largest Galaxies.. What will remain? Maybe some of you are calling Nothing. But it is really nothing or something which we don't know yet.
Is it really Nothing...?
What will remain is 'Empty space'. But it is not empty. Science (Theory pf Relativity) says it is a real, dynamic, physical thing. Even though we can't see it, smell it, touch it but is real thing. I know it is very hard to make sense of something that is nothing.

Have you ever been to Drama or any Orchestra. What is most important thing in drama? A cast..? Or workers behind stage..? Most important is stage. Yes we haven't thought about it but the Isaac Newton did. He considered the model of universe as a stage. He said we do all activities on the stage of the Universe (Space).
Absolute time and Absolute space:
Sir Isaac Newton proposed his idea of comparing Stage with the Space. That idea changes all world's view towards space. He said that the Space is a framework. It is passive, absolute, eternal. We and all the galaxies are like an Actors on the stage. We are only actors who will be replaced but the stage will remain same. And we can't affect stage (Space). Although this idea was not very proper and correct, it was very important for further researches.
Entry of Genius:
An idea of an Absolute space ruled over world almost 200 years. That idea broken by young clerk working in Swiss Patent Office his name is Sir Albert Einstein. He breaks the thought and the heart of Sir Newton. He said that space is effective to the mass and various things. It solved the problem of Gravity also. An experiment 'Gravity Probe B' (https://www.nasa.gov/mission_pages/gpb/) explained about space is a thing.
Sir Einstein born when newly things like electricity, bulb was discovering. Maybe Newton never thought about them. By Quantum Mechanics, Empty is not empty, it is full of fluctuating fields, etc.
Properties of space:
Now maybe you understood well about space. Now we'll talk about its properties.
1. It is boundless 3D thing.
2. It can bend due to motion of mass and energy
3. It can ripple with gravitational waves
4. It can Expand.
What is the curvature of the space..?
There are 3 types of curvature. Flat, Positive, Negative.
Another method is 'Density Method'.
In this method, we measure the number of atoms per space metre^3. At a critical density, space is flat. If density is greater than critical, it will be positively curves and lesser density will have negatively curved.
