Who Sponsored Black Hole Image Project..?

We have discussed about Black Hole earlier too, so i assume that you have basic knowledge of Black Hole. If you don't then CLICK HERE : Black Hole

More than 100 years ago, Sir Albert Einstein gave us General Theory Of Relativity. In that theory, he predicted about the objects which has very high mass and due to very high mass a great curve in Space Time. Later, a Great Scientist 'Karl Schwarzschild' make it more clear in 1916. And recently, Dr. Stephen Hawking Classified Black Holes in a well manner. Our mathematical calculations were proving the existence of Black Hole, but we didn't saw it. So it was very hard to believe in only calculations. We had Imaginary animations, simulations, illustrations of Black Hole. Even we saw it in many Hollywood Science Fictional Movies.

But now it is a time to see it in a Biographical movies. Yes, we have captured First ever image of Real Black Hole. Now Let's discover how Scientist did nearly impossible task.

 To Watch Image : NASA

Information :

As we all know it is very hard to capture a Black Hole in image compare to capturing any Star or Planet. It is because the Gravitational force exerted by Black hole do not allow even a Fastest Object in the Universe(Light) to escape from it. And if light can't reach to our eyes, we cannot see a thing. We have captured a Image of a Supermassive Black Hole at the Centre of Super gigantic Elliptical Galaxy Messier 87(M-87). The mass of that Black Hole is 7 Billion times the mass of our Sun. This image takes a huge team of 200 Scientists and two years to render. Size of the image is 1,000,000 GB. The picture is officially announced on 10 April 2019. The Black hole is 55 Million Light Years from us. So the image is 55 Million Years old for now.

    Why Image Is So Blurred?

Image is very blurry, because it is zoomed on the level we can't imagine of.

    Time taken to Render Image?

It almost takes 2 two years to render an Image.

Now Let's try to understand the Process of Image making

To take a Image that far was a very challenging task for Scientists. Physically, we needed a Telescope which would in size of Earth. Earth's size telescope was very essential to see and capture that Black Hole. For sure, we cannot arrange that huge telescope. This was first challenge for Scientists. They use idea and placed 8 Telescopes allover the globe and make them work together and named as Event Horizon. It has same potential as the Earth sized Telescope would has. These all 8 telescopes are connected with Quantum Clock. Then it almost takes 2 years to render and image. For more accurate image, Scientists made separately 8 images on the basis of 8 Telescopes and tried to match them all. Our calculations are so perfect that all images are very same to each other.

    Huge Data transport?

It was very hard to transport such a huge data. Scientists cannot send it through the Internet because it was in Petabytes. Scientists transported it physically in the form of Hard Disks.

Why hard to detect?

Main cause is a distance. It was very hard to detect Radiations coming from such a large distance. It is so, because circular radiations released by Black hole transform into almost straight line till they reach to Earth.

Who Sponsored this Huge budget?

This all project was done by U.S and Germany. So probably they two contributed for this budget.

Why Black Hole of M-87 galaxy?

It is very important question that why we didn't capture the Black Hole which is at the Centre of Milky Way? Scientists started firstly same, but they realised that there is a lot dust in between Black Hole which is at a Centre of Milky Way (Sagittarius A)and Earth. It was easier to capture that Black Hole. But in near future, we'll able to see Image of Sagittarius A.

If light doesn't comeback from Black Hole then how Scientists captured it's image...?

Yes, it is right that we cannot capture a Black Hole. You can see in the Image that there something lightening yellow. This is called Event Horizon. A dark circle between yellow part is real Black Hole.
